Exchange Support on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

I keep reminding clients that it is important to keep track of what is posted on the Exchange Team blog. Everything posted there, http://msexchangeteam.com, is official. What makes the blog extremely valuable is that the Exchange team really works hard to make sure that key information is discussed and they can get information out via the blog much faster than through other channels.

Now that the Exchange team has finished testing, they have an official support statement regarding Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2011/02/11/458044.aspx. The following versions of Exchange are officially supported:

  • Exchange Server 2007 SP3
  • Exchange Server 2010
  • Exchange Server 2010 SP1

That is great news for organizations that are currently deploying Exchange and want to install it on the latest/greatest operating system.
